India’s Defence Minister officials will soon visit Russia to enhance the buying limit of rockets and ammunition for Mi-35 helicopter gunships and Su-30 fighter jets for the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Things to go under this agreement:
The Indian Armed Forces (IAF) are going to buy 50,000 rounds of 30mm GsH ammunition for Su-30 fighter jets and more than 60,000 rounds of 12.7 mm ammo for Mi-35 gunships.
IAFs are expecting increase war stocks currently for the major intense combat. Regarding this agreement IAF and Defence Ministry officials had already discussions on emergency purchase late last year.
As India knows it has many enemies which are gathering on the border lines, so to over come and to be prepared huge stock is gathered to enhance military strength.
In the past few months, India has bought arms and ammunition worth more than $1 billion from Russia and Israel for Indian Army and Navy under a fast track procedures instead of going through long time taking procedures.
Both the countries have agreed on having additional agreements on the weapon and technology systems.
Newly appointed Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat said that “Future wars will be short and intense and you have to be prepared to move fast. Now this is something which you can term in whatever way you want”. This shows India is going to have more agreements in Defence sector.
India is developing country and within this short period of two and three years it has emerged globally. PM Modi’s initiation of Make in India has made a way to open many countries to invest in India and production of weapons are increasing day by day in India
